Your Dream Birth Begins Here…

About TRDC

We are a diverse team of dedicated and passionate, DONA trained birth and postpartum doulas serving all of San Diego and Orange Counties. Our goal is to facilitate peaceful and empowering birth experiences for our clients by providing evidence-based and compassionate care. We bring a holistic approach that respects your unique needs, traditions, and preferences, while offering a loving and grounded presence, labor/contraction education, advocacy, pain relief techniques, postpartum care, breastfeeding help, and more.

Studies show that birthing persons with doula support experience higher overall birth experience satisfaction, health outcomes, and increased breastfeeding rates. Additionally, doula support has been shown to reduce labor length and lower rates of cesareans or other unwanted medical interventions.

Our approach is grounded in trust, presence, and personalized affirming care. We love supporting birthing persons and their families through every step of their pregnancy journey. We are always just a call away and happy to provide emotional support, resources, and answer any questions that may come up along your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.

DREAM Team

Elissa Garelick

Founder, Birth and Postpartum Doula

Elissa was first inspired by birth at the age of 8 when her youngest sister was born. She cried in the birth room and thanked her mom for giving birth to her sister. It is not by chance that she felt moved by it at such a young age as she believes birthwork is her calling and has continued to be drawn to it throughout life. She views birth as a spiritual experience and believes that it should be honored and protected so that anyone giving birth can experience it as the profound experience it is meant to be.

Elissa is here to support families and individuals on their journey so that they can feel calm, safe, and at ease as they welcome new life into this world. Birth is a sacred portal of life, connecting us all in our human experience. Birth is the beginning of our time on earth and setting the tone for this journey of life is so important. We store memories in our mind and bodies from the very beginning and by helping parents feel into their trust and intuition, it protects your baby’s first hours and days and sets them up for success on their life’s journey.

Additionally, each birth of a baby is a birth of a new version of yourself as parents. This transition too, deserves care and honor. Her goal is to help you tap into the deep knowing that your body is doing exactly what it is meant to and that this version of yourself is empowered, loved, and cared for.

Taylor Wilsey

Birth Doula

Taylor found her interest in birth work just after the birth of her first daughter. Having feared labor and delivery her entire life, she found herself shocked in her immediate postpartum--she wasn't traumatized. she wasn't afraid anymore. She instead audibly shouted, "I want to do that again!" Feeling so strong and proud of her body, Taylor grew in a passion to share with other women that our birth culture has been sending mamas the wrong message. Today she loves to say "Mama! You absolutely CAN birth your baby!" But it comes with a caveat: mamas need loving support.

Taylor believes her outcome was wholly influenced by the support she was lucky enough to have alongside her. In the hands of a doula and two caring midwives, she was lovingly guided through the vulnerable and hard parts of her labor, making her feel carefully held as she inched closer to her baby. It is because of this, she has felt a strong calling toward making doula support more accessible in her local community.

Today, Taylor runs MamaBloom Doula Co. in San Diego, CA and maintains strong relationships with local doulas like Elissa who are trying to change expectant mothers' experiences in birth. She feels a mother’s ability to birth is a God-given right of passage and aligns deeply with women who believe this period is divine in nature meant to transform.

Sophia Tea

RN, Birth and Postpartum Doula

Sophia’s journey into birth work began not just through training, but from a deep pull to support women during life’s most transformative moments. As both a registered nurse and a birth and postpartum doula, she blends evidence-based care with intuitive, heart-centered support.

She believes birth and postpartum are sacred rites of passage that deserve to be met with calm, trust, and steady presence. Through her work, she creates a nurturing space where families feel seen, supported, and deeply connected. Based in Corona, California she serves families with a grounded approach that honors both the physiology of birth and the emotional experience that stays with you long after.

KRisten Vetter

Birth Doula and Breastfeeding Educator

Kristen was born and raised on the beaches of San Diego, but has since found her calling for living in the countryside in Fallbrook with her husband where she raises hens and her two free-range children.

Her passion for informed birth started with her first pregnancy and birth, and the fire was flamed with her second. It was then that she knew she was being called to birth work.

She had a scheduled c-section with her firstborn and then went on to have an unmedicated VBAC with her second at a birth center. She does this work because she believes birth matters.

She is committed to her clients through continuing to learn and grow her education. She is a Certified Patient Advocate through Intentional Birth and she is trained in Spinning Babies techniques. It is her goal as your labor support that you feel safe, loved, and empowered to make the best choices for you and your family. She prays that you have a positive birth story that you will cherish for years to come.
